Assistant Professor at the Laboratory of Building Materials, Civil Engineering Department of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, since 2016, where he is involved in teaching 5 undergraduate courses. Previously worked as a researcher and as a Lecturer for the same institution. Has also given lectures in several scientific seminars regarding the use of industrial by-products in concrete. Research interests include concrete technology (physico-mechanical properties of concrete) and especially the utilization of industrial by-products in the construction sector. Has worked as a coordinator and as a member of the research group in 20 National and European research programs. Long-time experience on the exploitation and use of fly ash and steel slag in the production of concrete and a PhD thesis on this field. Has a total of 250 citations in Scopus and an h-index of 7.
