Dr. Evgenios Kokkinos holds a Bachelor and a Master’s degree from the School of Chemistry (AUTh, 2013). His PhD thesis was held at the School of Chemical Engineering (AUTh) and its work focused on the synthesis of adsorbents and their application in heavy metal removal from water and gaseous streams. Optimization of the materials’ synthesis, physicochemical characterization and adsorbents evaluation are his major expertise. He is an author/co-author of 7 papers in international scientific journals, 1 book chapter, 15 conference presentations and 1 international patent diploma. Also he participated in the NSRF Good Practices awarded project MerCap: Advanced materials for mercury removal.
