Georgia Filippi graduated from the Department of Chemistry of the School of Science of the National Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA). Her diploma thesis was “Environmental Chemistry”. She holds an MSc from the Inter-Institutional postgraduate programme “Oceanography and Management of the Marine Environment”. Her M.Sc. thesis was entitled: “Pollution of Mar Menor lagoon from heavy metals”. In addition, she holds an MSc from the postgraduate programme “Chemistry Education and New Educational Technologies”. Her MSc thesis was entitled: “A Workplan for the Study of Lagoon Chemistry”. She’s been a PhD candidate since October 2017 in the Department of Chemistry of the NKUA. The topic of her PhD thesis is “The Distribution and the Chemical Behaviour of Heavy Metals and Polyaromatic Hydrocarbons in the Western Saronic Gulf Region”. She has 4 publications and participated in 10 national conferences.
