Dr. Ioanna Manolikaki graduated from the School of Agricultural Sciences (Department of Agricultural Crop Production and Rural Environment) of the University of Thessaly and she is a PhD holder of the Technical University of Crete. Her PhD thesis was held at the School of Environmental Engineering at the Laboratory of Environmental Engineering and Management. Currently, she is a Post Doctoral researcher at the School of Environmental Engineering. She has studied the effect of biochars from organic by-products on plant nutrient availability, with ultimate goal the nutrient cycling and circular economy. In particular, her research interests include the production and valorization of biochars derived from organic by-products and residues, mainly agro-industrial, and application of biochars on plants.
